Poetry: “Seasonal contrasts”

What it says on the label basically.

Seasonal contrasts

Black bird against snowy white

Charcoal feathers standing out

Changes branches, flutters up

Sends the snow cascading down

Yellow bloom against the brown

First spring flower bursting up

Those bright petals standing out

Tries to match the glowing sun

Warm red berries ‘gainst the green

Appetizing, growing large

Spot them in your garden patch

First strawberries taste the best

Burning leaves against the grey

Brightens up the rain drenched sky

In a fall so dull and sad

Those orange colors make you smile
