Poetry: “White silence”

A play on the phrase “white noise”, another winter poem.

White silence

Wind no longer howling

No tearing at the trees

All is white now

Snow piled high

Upon most every branch

Then almost like magic

As you let yourself exhale

Listen close

To what you hear

Why, there’s nothing to be heard

Fluffy mounds of whitest snow

They keep out all the noise

Muffled, quiet

All is peace

In this wondrous winterscape
