Poetry: “Bus trip”

Another moment that inspired this piece of poetry.

Bus ride

Moving swiftly through the night

Metal beast with many wheels

Hour’s late and all is dark

Still there’s some folks on the bus

How it rattles to and fro

Seems to shatter all the peace

Harsh lighting that hurt the eyes

Passengers ponder their fate

Then through all the noise is heard

An old sweet song that’s being played

Streaming from those speakers old

The atmosphere it seems to lift

Look outside into the night

Notice all the lights out there

Lamps in windows shining bright

It brings some hope this gloomy night
