Poetry: “Food convention”

I had to make some sort of commentary on this neat thing I went to.

Food convention

Flavor gathers in one hall

Italian, French and Swedish too

Have a peek and have a taste

Things you would not norm’ly eat

Glasses gleaming in the light

Filled with spirits and fine wine

Everyone’s a connoisseur

Or getting drunk on fancy drink

People milling everywhere

Drawn to chef celebrities

No more polite queuing here

Sharpen elbows for a taste

Take a breath now and exhale

Don’t let the crowds scare you away

This is an event but once a year

Come foodies now and jubilate
