Poetry: “Public transport”

A poem about that thing which more people should have access to cause really, it’s better for the environment in the long run.

Public transport

If you do not have a car

And do not feel like walking far

There is but one option there

If you travel anywhere

Head inside those sliding doors

Carriage on its given course

Bus or train or railway car

Each of those can take you far

It’s not private, not at all

And it’s the best if you are tall

Cause it can get very tight

In that busy evening light

Pay your ticket, swipe your card

It’s not really all that hard

No need to pay gas or such

Does not really cost that much

So enjoy your nice commute

Despite things that don’t compute

Train delays and other things

That makes you wish that you had wings
