A poem based on the Smashing Pumpkins song of the same name.
The end is the beginning is the end
The end is the beginning,
Of someone else’s tale.
Nothing really stops outright,
Without a brand new start.
It is all connected,
These starts and stops and ends.
There is no waste in our world,
There’s no potential lost.
It might not seem so to someone,
Who’s stuck inside that mess.
You then see endings as finite,
But that’s not really so.
When a chapter in life ends,
Another one begins.
It’s up to us to see that thread,
And follow where it leads.
To any man there is one end,
That for him is real.
Death it comes for everyone,
But it’s all part of a great plan.
Death and birth must balance,
Like beginnings and the ends.
The circle of life is quite real,
And we’re all living it.
