Haiku poetry: “New Year”

Something for the first day of the new year, crisp as newly fallen snow.

***

New Year

Up in the dark sky.

Such colorful fireworks.

Torment of all dogs.

Toast in champagne.

The bubbles on your tongue.

Makes you forget.

A brand new year dawns.

Such bold resolutions.

That you will not keep.
